2 held for supplying illegal weapons

The Nuh police arrested two illegal weapons suppliers and seized 13 illegal countrymade pistols and 13 magazines from their possession.

According to the police, the accused had been identified as Salim, a resident of Saali village, and Akil Hussain, a resident of Sakhun village in Jaipur district, Rajasthan.

The police will produce the accused in the court to take them on remand.

Harinder Kumar, DSP (Headquarters), Nuh, said the accused were waiting for someone to sell illegal weapons at a farmhouse near Rawali Dam.

A team of the CIA, Nuh, led by inspector Jungsher, raided the place and arrested the duo.

“The police seized two bags from their possession. During the checking, seven countrymade pistols and 13 magazines were recovered from Salim, while six country-made pistols were seized from Akil. More accused involved in the supply of illegal weapons will be arrested soon,” said DSP Kumar.

A case was registered against them at the Ferozpur Jhirka police station.
