DSP Pawan Kumar said a case had been registered on the complaint of Pappu, who stated that his brother Indrajeet, along with a friend, had gone to attend Tarun’s wedding ceremony in Pithdawas village where he was shot dead.

“During interrogation, it was revealed that Tarun and Jitendra arrived at the wedding in Pithdawas village in a Scorpio vehicle with their companions. They sat on the roof of a house, consumed alcohol and created a disturbance, even indulging in firing shots into the air. A verbal altercation then occurred between them and Indrajeet. In a fit of rage, Jitendra fired a shot at Indrajeet, hitting him in the neck, causing his death,” the DSP stated.

The officer added that Tarun alias Moni had previously been booked in five cases under the Khol police station, including for assault, violations of the Arms Act and attempt to murder, while Jitendra alias Jeetu also had four criminal cases registered against him at various police stations.
