According to officials, the six men — all labourers — were sleeping in the same room when the incident occurred during rain in the area.

A rescue operation was launched soon after the collapse, and all six victims were pulled out from under the debris.

They were rushed to CHC Shahabad, where two were declared dead and the remaining four are undergoing treatment.
