The event was organised online to mark National Science Day. The competition was divided into four categories – technothon, nuts and bolts, technowiz and fast and curious. In the nuts and bolts category, Parv Saini, a student of class IV, won the second prize for his non-working model. In the same category, Manav Sharma, a student of Class V, won the second consolation prize for a working model.
Seminar on education policy
Kurukshetra: Prof Manjula Chaudhary, Dean of Academic Affairs, KUK, said every institution would have to initiate steps for an effective implementation of the National Education Policy-2020. He was addressing a gathering during the inaugural session of a two-day national seminar on ‘Implementation of NEP-2020’ being organised by the faculty development centre (under PMMMNMTT, Union Ministry of Education) in collaboration with the department of education, KUK, through online mode. Professor Chaudhary stressed on two workable aspects of the policy implementation – assurance of quality education and multidisciplinary education – that can be immediately initiated by all institutions.

Sonepat: Vice-Chancellor, Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science And Technology, Prof Rajender Kumar Anayat Deen has appointed Prof Chitrarekha Kabre from the department of architecture as the director of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell. Prof Satish Khasa from the department of physics has been appointed as a research coordinator, Prof Suresh Verma as consultant academics and Prof Suman Sangwan from the department of computer science and engineering has been made president of the Institute Innovation Council. The council will promote start-ups and encourage students to work with new ideas through periodic activities related to innovation and entrepreneurship.
