2 women held with 14 kgs of ‘ganja patti’
The anti-narcotics cell of the Kurukshetra police has arrested two women, and recovered 14-kg ‘ganja patti’ from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Parvati and Mango, residents of Thanesar, Kurukshetra.
They were produced before a court that sent Mango to jail, while Parvati was remanded to eight-day police custody.
A Kurukshetra police spokesperson said, “On May 3, the anti-narcotics cell received information about two women selling ‘ganja patti’. The women used to bring narcotics from Uttar Pradesh and Delhi, and sell them in Haryana at higher prices.”
As per information, the accused were on their way from Ambala on a bus after buying ‘ganja patti’ from UP when, following the tip-off, they were arrested from the Pipli bus stand with the contraband.
A case has been registered at the Thanesar sadar police station in this regard.
