The women’s wing of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Madhav Shakha, Karnal, on Thursday organised a free dental check-up camp at OPS Vidya Mandir, Sector 13, under the supervision of Sujata Gupta, the vice-president of the branch. About 200 students were examined at the camp.

Dr Babita Ahlawat shared valuable tips with students on maintaining dental hygiene.

She advised them to brush their teeth daily, and avoid consuming food items that could harm their teeth.

Gupta said the camp was organised as part of the organisation’s Seva Prakalp initiative. “Parents make every possible effort to keep their children healthy. By organising such health camps, social organisations contribute significantly to children’s physical development,” she said.

Similar camps would be organised in other schools in future, she added.
