District Town Planner (DTP) Satish Kumar today said 22 villages surrounding municipal town Gharaunda had been officially notified as part of the Additional Controlled Area-IV falling under the jurisdiction of the Town and Country Planning Department.

He said, “The notified villages will now be considered under the Gharaunda Development Plan.” The DTP emphasised that prior permission for change of land use (CLU) would now be mandatory for undertaking any kind of construction or development activity within these areas.

Kumar further informed that before starting any construction on land falling under these revenue estates, permission must be obtained from the Town and Country Planning Department.

“Some area of Gharaunda along with villages Gyanpura, Kalram, Mubarakabad, Faizlipur Majra, Chaura, Basi Akbarpur, Malikpur Gadian, Arainpura, Panauri, Jamalpur, Jarouli, Dingar Majra, Kamla, Garhi Multan, Kohand, Alipur Khalsa, Harsinghpura, Kalheri, Baradat, Faridpur and Pundri has been included in the Additional Controlled Area-IV,” the DTP said.
