Under the Chief Minister Urban Ownership Scheme registry papers to 277 beneficiaries and lal dora certificates to 58 people were distributed on Thursday at the multipurpose hall of Chaudhary Devi Lal University. The event also featured a live broadcast of the state-level ceremony held in Manesar by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.

Deputy Commissioner RK Singh distributed the certificates. The DC said residents could avail themselves of the scheme’s benefits through the Saral Portal from their homes. He said the portal had reduced the workload of officials, provided employment opportunities to the youth through CSC centres and increased transparency. Beneficiaries shared their positive experiences with the scheme, expressing their pride in becoming legal property owners, which they described as a dream come true.
