An employee of a wine contractor was allegedly attacked by three persons near Kunjal village of Yamunanagar district. The attackers reportedly snatched Rs 50,000 and a mobile phone from the possession of the employee, identified as Satish Kumar of Dikka, Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh). On the basis of Kumar’s complaint, a case was registered against three unknown persons at the Sadar police station, Yamunanagar.

According to the employee, he was going to the liquor vend in Kunjal village at night on February 21. He was pushed by three motorcycle-borne men while on his way to the vend, causing him to fall from his motorcycle, he added. “When I fell down, the accused beat me up. They snatched Rs 50,000 (collected from the liquor vends of the contractor) and a mobile phone from me,” he said.
