The deceased boys have been identified as Saurabh, Praveen and Pramod. All three of them were in the age-group of 15-17 years.

Enraged over the tragic mishap, villagers blocked the road in protest. The protesters maintained that they had been demanding a link road or an underpass connecting the main road to the village, but to no avail.

Administrative and police officials rushed to the spot and placated the irate villagers, following which the blockade was lifted.
