3 friends returning from b’day party die in highway accident in Sonepat

Three friends were killed and one suffered serious injuries after the vehicle they were travelling smashed a road divider and further hit a truck in the opposite lane on a flyover on NH-44 near Sector 7 in Bahalgarh area of Sonepat district last night. The vehicle caught fire after the crash.

The four friends from Baghpat in Uttar Pradesh were on the way to home after celebrating birthday of one of them at a dhaba in Murthal.

The deceased had been identified as Prince and Aaditya, aka Shekhar, of Binoli village and Sachin Tomar of Sirsali village in Baghpat district, UP. The injured has been identified as Vishal of Binoli village.

As per information, Prince, his cousin Aditya and friends Sachin and Vishal had gone to Murthal to celebrate the former’s birthday. After having dinner, they were returning home in a Scorpio when the mishap occurred.

Even as the vehicle caught fire, they managed to come out of it. However, all of them were badly injured. Prince, Aaditya and Sachin died of their injuries, while Vishal was admitted to a private hospital. The truck driver also suffered injuries in the accident.

The Bahalgarh police reached the spot. The bodies were handed over to kin after post mortem.

The police have started a probe into the matter.
