Hisar: Sirsa police have arrested three persons involved in two bank thefts. The accused robbed a branch of PNB in Darba Kalan village on September 17 and a Central Bank of India branch in Otu village on September 25. The robbers looted Rs 4.13 lakh. TNS

Blood donation camp held

Jhajjar: The district police organised a blood donation and health check-up camp , during which 106 police and paramilitary personnel donated blood. TNS

DCs told to submit girdawari report by Oct 15

Chandigarh: The Haryana Government asked DCs to submit reports of the special girdawari regarding loss to cotton and ‘moong’ crops due to unseasonal rain and waterlogging by October 15. An order by the Financial Commissioner Revenue read. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
