353 complaints settled at Yamunanagar samadhan shivirs

A total of 377 complaints have been received so far at ‘samadhan shivirs’ being held by the Municipal Corporation (MC), Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ), since October 22, 2024.

Out of 377 complaints, 353 have been settled by the authorities of the MCYJ. However, 16 complaints are pending, while eight have been reopened.

Additional Municipal Commissioner Dr Vijay Pal Yadav said every complaint related to the MCYJ was being resolved through samadhan shivirs, which were proving a good platform for speedy redressal of people’s grievances.

“Residents of the twin cities of Yamunanagar and Jagadhri can complain about any problem related to the MCYJ, including streets, drains, cleanliness, property IDs and street lights, at samadhan shivirs. All problems will be resolved on priority basis,” he said at a meeting.

As per available information, Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha gave instructions to officials of the MCYJ to resolve pending complaints as soon as possible.

He asked them that every complaint received at samadhan shivirs, held by the MCYJ, should be taken seriously. He said they should ensure settlement of complaints as soon as possible.

“Officials of the MCYJ should investigate every complaint seriously for speedy resolution,” said Sinha. He said officials had also been asked to ensure resolution of pending complaints before the stipulated time period.

“The aim of organising samadhan shivirs is to solve problems of people quickly and on time. Therefore, staff members of the MCYJ are making best efforts to redress problems of the people,” said Sinha.
