The Hansi police have detained 39 Bangladeshi nationals for residing illegally in the Hisar district. According to police sources, the group includes 14 men, 11 women, and 14 children, all of whom were working at a brick kiln located on Tosham Road. None of them possessed valid documentation.

During the initial investigation, it was revealed that these individuals had illegally crossed the border from Bangladesh into India. The police have begun an inquiry, with security agencies also involved in the ongoing investigation. Authorities said they are currently compiling all available documentation, after which the individuals will be transferred to a designated camp in Delhi once the legal process is completed.

The arrests were made following a survey conducted on the basis of confidential information. Hansi SP Amit Yashvardhan said, “Legal procedures are being followed in the matter and further action will be taken after completing all documentation and related formalities.” The detainees are in police custody.

The owner of the kiln where the group had been working for about a month told mediapersons that some of the families were carrying Aadhaar cards issued in West Bengal. He said he had brought them from Rajasthan for work, and a few additional families joined them just a couple of days ago.

Police and intelligence sources confirmed that a broader verification drive has been launched to trace any illegal Pakistani or Bangladeshi nationals residing in the region. Notably, just last month, a 15-member Pakistani-origin family staying in Balsamand village of Hisar was relocated to the Delhi camp following similar checks.

In a related development, 14 illegal Bangladeshi migrants were recently apprehended from brick kilns in Mahendergarh. They were reportedly in possession of fake Aadhaar cards.
