Kurukshetra, February 20

Continuing their crackdown on drug peddlers, the Kurukshetra police have registered 26 cases under the NDPS Act in the first 45 days of the year in the district.

As per a spokesperson of the Kurukshetra police, 26 cases were registered and 39 people arrested in connection with the cases in the first 45 days of 2024.

The district police have recovered nearly 75 gram heroin, 975 gram opium, over 55 kg churapost, 60 gram smack, 17 kg ganja and 190 gram charas in the district. In 2023, the police had arrested 425 suspects in 222 cases and the number of arrests was 328 in 223 cases in 2022.
