Eight months after the last case of Covid was reported from the state, four fresh cases have been detected in Faridabad and Gurugram. All four are in home isolation and, so far, have only mild symptoms.

Sources in the Health Department said while there are two male patients and two female patients, two of the four are senior citizens. Only one patient has a travel history to Mumbai.

Since they had symptoms, they got themselves tested at a private lab. A team of the department visited the patients and gave directions. All four patients are said to be stable. The family members of the patients have also been asked to report any symptoms to the health team.

Health Department officials said that there is no advisory from either the Centre or the National Centre for Disease Control. “A few cases will keep coming since this is an endemic. Presently, there is no cause for concern,” Director General, Health Services, Manish Bansal, said.
