The CIA-1 unit of the Kurukshetra police has arrested three thieves and a scrap dealer in connection with the stealing of power cables from agricultural fields in Kurukshetra.

The accused were identified as Raju, Shyam, Akhilesh, residents of Uttar Pradesh, and scrap dealer Jatin, a resident of Kurukshetra.

Kurukshetra police spokesman Naresh Kumar said that on August 3, Rajinder, a resident of Muqimpura, Kurukshetra, in his complaint to the police, stated that the thieves had stolen power cables from his field. Meanwhile, Dalbir Singh, Jai Bhagwan, Mahipal, Suresh Kumar and Prithvi also stated that on the night of July 30, thieves had stolen cables from their agricultural fields too. The thieves had burnt the cables and retrieved copper from the cables.
