Kurukshetra: 4 held in connection with recovery of 25-kg ganja leaves

The anti-narcotic cell of the Kurukshetra police has arrested four men in connection with the recovery of 25-kg of ganja leaves.

The accused were identified as Rajkumar, alias Raju, a resident of Patiala, and Pawan, Karan, and Mukaddar, residents of Ambala.

The Kurukshetra police spokesperson said on July 4, the anti-narcotic cell got information that Rajkumar, Pawan and Karan sold ganja leaves, and they were on their way in a car from Ambala to the New Bus Stand in Kurukshetra.

Acting on the information, a check-post was set up and the car was spotted. During checking, 25-kg ganja leaves were recovered from the car. A case was registered at the Thanesar Sadar police station. The accused disclosed the name of Mukaddar, who had supplied the ganja leaves and on July 5, Mukaddar was also arrested by the anti-narcotic cell.

They were produced before a court which sent Karan and Pawan to jail, Rajkumar to a four-day police remand and Mukaddar to a nine-day police remand.
