Around 40 persons sustained injuries in a collision between a bus and a truck on the Jhajjar-Gurugram road near Dadri Tao village here on Saturday.

According to officials, four of the injured have been referred to the PGIMS, Rohtak, and more than 10 are undergoing treatment at the Jhajjar Civil Hospital, while the remaining were discharged after extending medical aid. No case was registered till the filing of the report.

The mishap took place in the morning when the bus carrying factory workers from Jhajjar to Gurugram was hit by a truck coming from the opposite direction. Several women passengers were thrown off their seats due to the impact.

Locals and passers-by rushed the injured to the Jhajjar Civil Hospital for treatment. The truck driver also suffered injuries and is undergoing treatment at hospital. Traffic on the road was briefly disrupted following the accident.

Vinod Kumar, Investigation Officer, said all injured were out of danger. However, four of the injured were referred to the PGIMS, Rohtak, for further treatment. “An investigation is under way and action will be taken once formal complaints are filed,” he added.
