International Olympics Day was celebrated on Monday at Pundrak village, located on Kachhwa Road near Bhakra Canal in Karnal. The event brought together nearly 400 participants — including athletes, coaches, and other members of the sports community.

Capt Jaswinder Meenu Beniwal, President of the Haryana Olympics Association, and advocate Jungbahadur Singh Chauhan, former president of the District Bar Association, Karnal, were among the attendees of the event.

Coaches Ravinder and Bijender, both Bhim Award recipients, welcomed the dignitaries.

The event was organised by the Kayaking and Canoeing Association in collaboration with the Haryana Olympics Association.

A series of athletic demonstrations and sports activities showcased the energy and discipline of the participating athletes. The event’s execution was led by organisers Manjeet Singh, Sunny Dhull, Rakshit Tushir, and Rohit Pundeer. In his concluding address, Capt Jaswinder Meenu Beniwal extended his gratitude to all athletes, coaches, guests, and organising members.

He reaffirmed the Haryana Olympics Association’s commitment to promoting Olympics sports at the grassroots level and nurturing talent across the state.
