These include five principals from Nuh. They have been issued a chargesheet under Rule 8 of the Haryana Civil Services (Punishment and Appeal) Rules for a minor penalty.
Another principal of Gagarwas school (Bhiwani) was issued a notice for staying less than six months in the school.
A principal of Huchpuri school (Palwal), who teaches English, has been served with a chargesheet under Rule 7 for a major penalty.
The action has been taken after clearance from Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda. In the class 12 results, 18 schools had recorded 0 per cent results, implying no student passed. Of these, six were located in Nuh, four in Faridabad, and one each in Hisar, Karnal, Palwal, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Sonepat, Gurugram, and Yamunanagar.
Sources informed that besides principals, PGTs teaching English, political science, chemistry, geography, physics, biology, maths, Hindi, history, sociology, economics, and physical education of Nuh schools were targeted. Most of them were issued chargesheet.
Seven of the chargesheeted PGTs teach English. Two guest teachers were issued a show-cause notice.
The major penalties included withholding of increments or promotion, reduction to a lower stage in the pay band for a specified period, compulsory retirement, and dismissal from service.
“Proper inquiry has been conducted, and then action has been taken against principals and teachers. They have given zero results. I can understand if there are no teachers. I can know if there are no students. But if teachers are posted and students are attending schools, why are the results poor? That time of nil accountability has gone now,” the minister said.
