Work is ongoing on 548 complaints, 367 have been rejected and 138 have been reopened for further action.
Speaking during a weekly review meeting with senior officials on Friday, DC Sharma emphasised that all departments must treat public grievances with urgency and resolve them within a fixed timeframe, ensuring citizens benefit from the government’s welfare schemes.
He particularly urged departments such as Panchayat, Electricity and Irrigation to take matters seriously, especially issues related to illegal land occupation, encroachments, land demarcation, cleanliness, drainage construction, issuance of certificates, pension delays, electricity pole replacement, PPP database updates and removal of ineligible family members. Officers were instructed to regularly monitor these complaints and ensure timely resolution without any negligence.
Highlighting the impact of Samadhan Camps, the DC noted that these have become an effective platform to address citizens’ concerns promptly. He said complaints received during these camps are given top priority and resolved at the earliest.
To widen outreach, Samadhan Camps are not only being held at the district level but also at the sub-division level, ensuring that government services reach even the remotest areas. The district administration is currently organising these camps every Monday and Thursday from 10 am to 12 noon, offering citizens a direct channel to voice their concerns and receive solutions swiftly.
