A 48-year-old woman of Nilokheri has died of Covid in Karnal. It is a death here after a gap of over six months.

Civil Surgeon Dr Yogesh Sharma confirmed her death and said she was suffering from diabetes, hypertension, chronic kidney disease and heart ailment. She was taken to a private hospital in Karnal on the night of Sunday and Monday, where she tested Covid positive by rapid antigen testing. She was referred to the Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College, where she was declared brought dead.

“She had no history of fever and other Covid-like symptoms. Since she tested positive, we have considered it as Covid death,” Dr Sharma added.
