491 appear for PhD entrance exam at HAU

The entrance examination for admission to various PhD programmes at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) was conducted smoothly at the university’s main campus.Vice-Chancellor Prof BR Kamboj inspected the arrangements at the examination centres, ensuring that all facilities were in place for the candidates’ convenience. Dr Pawan Kumar, Registrar and Controller of Examinations, shared that of 544 applicants, 491 candidates appeared for the exam.

The entrance exams covered a diverse range of disciplines, including agricultural economics, agricultural extension education, agricultural meteorology, agronomy, plant protection entomology, silviculture and agroforestry, agri-business management, business management, fisheries and biotechnology. These courses are offered through various colleges within the university, such as the College of Agriculture, the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology and the College of Biotechnology.

To ensure fairness and transparency, special inspection teams were deployed and photographs of each candidate were taken for verification purposes.

Dr Kumar encouraged candidates and their families to regularly visit the university’s official websites, hau.ac.in and admissions.hau.ac.in, for updates regarding the PhD admission process.
