The Charkhi Dadri police have arrested five persons in a murder case of a migrant in Badhra village.

Saabir Malik was allegedly beaten to death on suspicion of eating beef, said the SP.

The arrested have been identified as Abhishek alias Shaka, Ravinder alias Kalia, Mohit, Kamaljeet and Sahil alias Pappi.

The SP said that the incident occurred on Tuesday when a group of assailants went to the migrant family living in a jhuggi near the bus stand in Badhra village.

The migrant was a resident of West Bengal and worked as a scrap dealer in the region.

The police have also collected sample of food, which was reportedly being consumed by the family on Tuesday, and it has been sent to a laboratory in Faridabad.
