The government today appointed five Information Commissioners in the State Information Commission.

An order of the General Administration Department said those appointed are: Amarjit Singh, Karamvir Saini, Neeta Khera, Priyanka Dhopra and Sanjay Madaan. They will join the office after taking oath.

A committee headed by CM Nayab Singh Saini had recommended five names as Information Commissioners. There are seven vacancies, but there was no consensus on two names.
