Modus operandi

  • The initial probe reveals that accused Roopchand and Sandeep, who had worked at Tata Finance for about a year, formed a gang along with their aides. They knew how a financier takes possession of the financed vehicle. Taking advantage of this knowledge, they stopped drivers and posed as employees of finance company and told them to first pay the outstanding installments and then take the vehicle from the yard after showing the bank receipt. Thereafter, the accused used to escape by taking the vehicle.
