500/500 for two students in CBSE Class X

Two students of the state have topped across the nation in the matriculation examination, the result of which was declared by the Central Board of School Education (CBSE) today.

Both Anjali from Silarpur village (Mahendragarh) and Purvanshu Garg from Pehowa (Kurukshetra) have obtained 500 out of 500 marks. Anajali’s father is a head constable in the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), while Purvanshu’s father runs a grocery store in Pehowa town.

Anjali wants to become a doctor to serve the poor, while Purvanshu said becoming a scientist had been his childhood dream. Interestingly, both students not only kept themselves away from social media but also did not take any private coaching. They prepared for the exams on their own and contacted their school teachers whenever they faced any problems.

“There is no shortcut to success, hence I devoted many hours in the day to prepare for the exams,” said Anjali who got full marks in mathematics, social studies, Hindi, science and optional music subject.

Rajesh Garg, the father of Purvanshu, said his son made them proud by securing the top position across the nation. “He has toiled hard to achieve this success. A festive atmosphere prevailed in the house as soon as we learnt about his wonderful performance,” he added.
