56 property holders submit documents at 3 camps to get ownership certificates
Fifty-six property holders of Bhatli village, Manakpur village and Gulab Nagar Colony in Jagadhri submitted their documents to obtain ownership certificates from the Municipal Corporation, Yamunanagar-Jagadhri (MCYJ), on Tuesday.
The documents were accepted at three separate camps organised by the MCYJ for persons, who had been occupying properties in Lal Dora and Abadi Deh for the past 10 years.
According to information, a committee formed by the MCYJ, including secretary of the panel, MCYJ engineer Muneshwar Bhardwaj, patwari and members Kuldeep Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Arun Sharma and others accepted documents from property holders. During these camps, 26 property holders in Bhatli village, 16 in Gulab Nagar and 14 in Manakpur village submitted documents to get property ownership certificates.
Officials of the MCYJ have started checking documents of property holders. As per available information, documents of some property holders were found incomplete. So, they were instructed by officials concerned to complete their documents.
Also, villagers were told that if anyone had any objection over people living in the Lal Dora and Abadi Deh areas, who submitted documents, they could give it in writing at the MCYJ office within seven days.
Municipal Commissioner Ayush Sinha said officials of the MCYJ had started checking documents. He said property certificates would be prepared for those property holders, whose documents were found correct during checking.
“A list of property holders has also been displayed by the MCYJ at all three places where camps were held. If anyone has any objection over names mentioned in the list, he/she can register it at the MCYJ office within seven days,” said Sinha.
Sinha instructed the committee secretary and other employees to properly check documents of property holders. He said for getting certificate of properties, property holders had to submit documents, including an affidavit of the Abadi Deh and Lal Dora, verified by the Revenue Department, electricity or water bill of past 10 years, driving licence, passport, GST certificate, voter card, possession certificate and property tax receipt.
