5,940 complaints resolved at samadhan camps; 103 pending

The Samadhan Shivirs being organised to resolve complaints of residents pertaining to different government departments under one roof have shown positive and encouraging results in the district.

As many as 6,838 complaints have been lodged at the samadhan camps organised in the district so far, of which 5,940 have been resolved.

As per official data, 216 complaints have been reopened, while 265 have been rejected. Hence, as of now, 103 complaints lodged at the camps are pending.

“Residents visit the samadhan shivirs due to easy access and prompt action on their complaints. This is building their faith in the camps. We also get to know about the kind of problems being faced by the residents and take appropriate action there upon,” said Rohtak Additional Deputy Commissioner Narendra Kumar while talking to The Tribune.

He pointed out that many residents who had earlier lodged their complaints on other platforms/portals also visited the samadhan camps for prompt resolution.

“Officials of different departments are present at the samadhan shivirs and the disposal/status of the complaints lodged there are constantly monitored,” the ADC said.

Kumar instructed the officers to ensure that every complaint received at the samadhan camps is resolved as soon as possible. He was hearing the complaints of the residents at a Samadhan Shivir at the Local Mini-Secretariat along with City Magistrate Ankit Kumar, District Development and Panchayat Officer Rajpal Chahal and District Revenue Officer Pramod Chahal on Monday.

The ADC directed the officers of the Public Health Engineering Department to stop leakage, ensure the provision of clean drinking water to the residents and get the sewerage system cleaned on a regular basis.
