There has been a total procurement of 60,544 metric tonnes (MT) of paddy in Hisar district this procurement season, which ends on Saturday. DC Anish Yadav said 10,759 MT was purchased by the Food and Supply Department, 35,277 MT by Hafed and 14,508 MT by the Haryana Warehouse Corporation.

Yadav added that of 60,544 MT of paddy purchased in the district’s mandis, 15,746 MT were purchased in Barwala mandi and 7,564 MT in Hansi mandi. He said so far 57,364 MTof paddy crop had been lifted in the district.
