Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will inaugurate 68 Har-Hith stores on October 7 virtually from Chandigarh.

The Chief Minister had launched the Har-Hith Retail Extension Project on August 2 this year.

Under the project, there is a plan to open about 2,000 Har-Hith stores in all 22 districts of the state so that the youth could get ample employment opportunities and inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship.

There are plans to open 1,500 such stores in rural areas and 500 in urban areas.

Consumers will get groceries of daily necessity at every Har-Hith store, which will include products of the government cooperative institutions namely NAFED, HAFED, VITA; FPOs, National Brands, FMCG companies and MSME units.

These stores are being allotted to residents of Haryana only. For this, arrangements have been made for master warehouses in Gurugram, Karnal and Hisar.
