7 plaints resolved at grievance redressal panel meet

Haryana’s Public Works (B&R) and Public Health Engineering Minister Ranbir Singh Gangwa on Monday chaired the District Public Relations and Grievance Redressal Committee meeting.

For the meeting held at Panchayat Bhawan in Ambala City, 11 complaints were listed, of which, seven were resolved while directions were issued on the remaining four complaints and kept pending for the next meeting.

The officials were directed to submit reports regarding the complaints in the next meeting. During the meeting, Nirmala Devi claimed that she bought a plot for Rs 4.80 lakh and the seller further sold the plot to another person and she was left without the plot even after giving the payment. Following the complaint, the minister directed Tehsildar and a member of the grievance redressal committee to investigate the matter related to the land and present a report in the next meeting.

Similarly, Balvinder Singh and others, residents of Balana, said in their complaint that no pipe had been laid on the unpaved road from Balana to Humayunpur on NH-152, due to which water did not drain out and crops got damaged. While an official of the NHAI said a separate pipe had been installed here for water drainage, the minister appointed a member of the Grievance Redressal Committee and directed the location be inspected with the department concerned.

Similarly, Krishan Kumar, resident of Nahra village, said in his complaint that he had executed the work of cutting trees from Saha to Ambala, Saha to Shahabad and Sadhaura to Dosarka, but was not paid wages for his work. The Forest Department officer informed the committee that an investigation was done and no dues were pending, following which the minister directed the Superintendent of Police to investigate and present a report in the next meeting.
