The police have booked eight office-bearers of the Resident Welfare Association of Shree Tara Enclave Colony in Samalkha on the charges of cheating and forgery.

PP Kapoor, an RTI activist, in his complaint to the SP Ajit Singh Shekhawat on February 15 accused them of forgery, embezzlement and committing fraud. He alleged that the accused forged the signatures of RWA member Ram Kumar, who died on June 4, 2017, in the proceeding register of the society since 2023.

The accused are Naresh Jaurasi, president; Subhash Raman, vice president; Vijender Kadyan, general secretary; Krishan Chander Shastri of Biholi; Ajit Kumar; Manoj Dhiman, secretary; Balbir Rathi and Navin Gupta.
