The report, submitted by Environment Department Secretary Pradeep Kumar, says the city is discharging around 7 crore litres (70 MLDs) of untreated sewage water into the Yamuna through the Najafgarh drain without treatment. This water is being discharged through stormwater drain No. 1, 2 and Badshahpur drain 2. Five million litres of dirty water from Bajgheda village and 1.2 million litres from near Rejangla Chowk is going into the Yamuna through rain drain No. 1 and 14.5 ml of sewage water from Dharampur village, Bhimgarh Khedi, Rajiv Nagar is going into the Yamuna through rain drain No. 2, 52 ml of sewage water from Dhankot village, Gadauli Kalan and Gadauli Khurd, Anjana Colony, Sector 37D, Badshahpur village, Sector 42, Vatika Chowk, Ullawas, Sector 51-52 and 52-57 Chowk, Sinhi village and Kherki through the Najafgarh drain.

Apart from this, 291 million litres (ml) of treated water is being poured into the Badshahpur drain and 5 ml of treated water is being poured into rain drain No. 2.
According to the report, this is happening as pipelines and pumping stations have not yet been arranged to deliver this water to the agricultural land. The report also adds that the capacity of the STP and CETP present in Gurugram district is 443 MLD. 375 MLD water is coming out through the sewage treatment plant. Out of this, 117 MLD water is being given to green areas, textile industries and agricultural lands in Jhajjar. The construction work of 50 MLD unit is going on at Baharampur Sewer Treatment Plant in Gurugram, which will be completed by March 31. Under this, 37 per cent work has been completed.
