Assembly polls: AAP Haryana joint secretary Randhir Chaudhary joins BJP

Ahead of the Haryana Assembly election, the trend of switching sides by leaders of several political outfits continue in Yamunanagar district.

On Saturday, Aam Aadmi Party’s Haryana unit joint secretary Randhir Chaudhary joined the BJP, in the presence of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and party’s state chief Mohan Lal Badoli in Kurukshetra.

Chaudhary had unsuccessfully contested the Assembly election in 2000 on a BSP ticket from Yamunanagar. He also contested from Radaur Assembly constituency in 2009 as an Independent candidate.

After joining the BJP, Chaudhary said there was no difference between AAP and Congress as both parties are following same ideology.

Prominent leaders from Yamunanagar who switched sides include Karan Dev Kamboj, Adarsh Pal Singh and Brijpal Chhappar.

After being denied tickets, Kamboj left the BJP and joined Congress; while Adarsh Pal Singh joined AAP after leaving Congress. Brijpal Chhappar left the Congress and joined BSP.
