ADGP felicitates Home Guard jawan for brave act in Hisar

Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Dr M Ravi Kiran honoured a Home Guard jawan Rajesh for commendable display of courage in chasing and apprehending two chain-snatchers at Rajguru Market in Hisar town.

The ADGP presented him a cash prize and a letter of appreciation at his office. The incident occurred on November 14, when a woman visiting Rajguru Market to shop for her daughter’s wedding became the victim of a chain-snatching attempt by two bike-borne miscreants. Hearing her cries for help, Rajesh, who was deployed at Parijat Chowk, chased the fleeing snatchers and managed to catch them at the next intersection.

Praising Rajesh’s dedication and alertness, the ADGP said, “Rajesh’s heroic act should inspire every jawan to stay alert and committed to the safety of residents.” The ADGP said, “Rajesh’s courageous job has highlighted the pivotal role played by Home Guards and police personnel in maintaining law and order.
