Army and Haryana Police personnel bowed their weapons and gave the last salute to Jakhar. Naveen had joined the army as Agniveer in December 2023.

Arvind Sharma said Jakhar was a brave Agniveer, who sacrificed his life while on duty.

“All Agniveers should be given the status of a regular soldier and all benefits and facilities like a regular soldier. This is in the interest of the nation. If this happens, the Army will get stronger,” said Deepender.
