Organised every year to honour the supreme sacrifice of freedom fighters who laid down their lives for India’s Independence, the Tiranga Yatra witnessed the participation of senior BJP leaders, party workers, and villagers.
The rally commenced from Uncha Chandna and concluded at Topra Kalan village.
Addressing the gathering, Rana stressed the importance of embracing ‘swadeshi’ (indigenous) products to strengthen the nation.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is fully capable of taking decisions in the country’s interest without needing advice from any foreign nation. Today, India is moving ahead as a self-reliant nation. To make India a developed global power, we must embrace indigenous goods and strengthen the ‘Make in India’ initiative,” the minister said.
Rana added, “We are moving towards becoming the world’s third-largest economy. A nation’s identity is reflected in its flag. During conflicts in many countries, India has successfully evacuated its citizens through deft diplomacy. In fact, people of other nations have also used India’s Tricolour as a symbol of safety to escape from war zones.”
Rana said former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s policies had laid a strong foundation for the country, adding that India had witnessed all-round progress under PM Modi’s leadership.
