JJP national president Ajay Singh Chautala on Friday categorically ruled out any possibility of a political reunion with his younger brother Abhay Singh Chautala of the INLD.

Speaking at a public event in Pirthala village, Fatehabad, he said, “Have you ever seen brothers come together politically after separating? We are still united socially and meet on such occasions, but there’s no political connection.”

Ajay Chautala announced that he would hold programmes across district headquarters in October, followed by outreach in individual Assembly constituencies. “We’ll continue staying among the people,” he added.

On the recent INLD rally in Rohtak, he said, “Everyone has the right to do their work in a democracy. We held our rally in Sirsa, they held theirs later.”

Referring to the presence of former Congress leader Prof Sampat Singh at the INLD event, Ajay said, “This is not a homecoming. He may have appeared on stage but refused to wear the green turban. That says a lot.”

Turning his guns on the BJP governments in Haryana and at the Centre, Chautala attacked the deteriorating law and order situation, describing it as “jungle raj.” He said, “Even elected leaders are receiving regular telephonic threats from criminal elements. The Chief Minister may have given a gunman each to Abhay Chautala and my son Digvijay Chautala, but what about the safety of the common people?”

He also criticised the Centre for celebrating the recent GST cut. “The government is taking credit for reducing GST, which is surprising. Who will answer for the eight years of looting people in the name of GST?” he asked.
