“Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the development of the country has been ensured alongside preserving heritage. While infrastructure has been strengthened by public welfare works, Indian culture and heritage has been preserved and presented to the world. Yoga is our Sanatan heritage and it connects the world,” he added

“Yoga has been accepted by the whole world — this shows the global acceptance of PM Narendra Modi. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini has a vision that every person should perform yoga, and, for this, we have to work together and make every person adopt yoga,” he said.

Deputy Commissioner Ajay Singh Tomer, SP Ajit Singh Shekhawat, and BJP district chief Mandeep Rana were among the attendees of the event.

After attending the International Yoga Day event in Ambala City, the Rajya Sabha MP reached Ambala Cantonment to meet Minister Anil Vij at his residence and enquire about his health. Vij was advised bed rest by doctors after a fracture was detected in his left foot on Friday.

Meanwhile, at the block level International Yoga Day celebrations in Ambala Cantonment, Additional Deputy Commissioner Mahender Pal said yoga was not just exercise, but a holistic lifestyle that kept life balanced, which was extremely beneficial for physical, mental, and spiritual health.

He said, “Yoga is India’s ancient cultural heritage, and is very useful for a stress-free life, mental concentration and physical health. By adopting yoga, we can prevent many diseases and live a healthy life. The state government is continuously promoting yoga. In this fast-paced life, yoga is the only medium of balance and peace.”

An event to mark the day was also held at Air Force Station here. Vayu Yodhas and their families enthusiastically participated in the event. Trained as instructors, they carried out yoga activities.
