Ambala Cantt college clinches first spot in dist-level science quiz

Twelve teams from seven institutes participated in the screening round of the competition. Participants from DAV College, Ambala City; Kalpana Chawla Polytechnic College, Ambala City; SD College, Ambala Cantonment; Government PG College, Ambala Cantonment; SA Jain College, Ambala City; GMN College, Ambala Cantonment; and Government PG College, Shahzadpur, took part in the quiz.
After the screening, eight teams qualified for the main competition. While GMN College won the first position, Government PG College and DAV College secured the second and third positions, respectively. Another team from DAV College stood fourth, while the Kalpana Chawla Polytechnic College team stood fifth.
These five teams will now represent the district at the zonal-level science quiz.
On this occasion, GMN College Principal Rohit Dutt said: “Science is not just about laboratories and inventions; it is a way of thinking and questioning the world around us. Competitions like these ignite curiosity and prepare young minds to solve real-world problems with innovation and creativity.”
He lauded the efforts of the organising team, applauded the participants, and urged students to nurture their scientific aptitude for the progress of society.
