Train traffic under the Ambala Division was brought to a halt for nearly two hours on Thursday as farmers protested on the tracks, demanding justice for the victims of the Lakhimpur Kheri incident.

According to reports, the agitation disrupted a total of 31 trains, including prominent ones like the Vande Bharat Express, Shatabdi Express, and Paschim Express, as well as eight goods trains. The protests, which took place at 16 different locations across the Ambala Division, caused significant inconvenience to passengers.

In Ambala, farmers gathered near Mohra village under the banner of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (Shaheed Bhagat Singh), staging a dharna and raising slogans against the government.
