A student of New Saraswati Senior Secondary School, Nagla Rajputan, in Ambala has been named among the state toppers of the Class X Board of School Education examinations, scoring 497 marks.

Mahi, who aims to be a doctor, attributed her success to her family members. She is among the four state toppers who have scored 497 marks.

Speaking to The Tribune, Mahi said, “I aspire to become a doctor. I have studied in the same school since nursery, but now that I have opted for the medical stream, I have shifted to another school.”

Meanwhile, Ambala District Education Officer Suresh Kumar said, “The students of Ambala have performed well in the examinations, and the pass rate of the district was 91.49 per cent. Though we had set a higher target, we are happy with the performance of the students. We are confident of improving the performance in the coming years. A student from Ambala has been ranked among the top performers in the state, and it is a proud moment for us.”
