An Ambala police spokesperson said that following the direction of Superintendent of Police Ajit Singh Shekhawat, the team of Patvi police post led by the police post in-charge SI Bhanwar Singh reached the old-aged home and handed over the food and essential items to the inmates.

Demonstrating compassion and humanity, the department officials stepped forward to help the needy and elderly men and women. The Ambala district police have provided toothbrushes, toothpaste, bathing soap, laundry soap, hair oil, shampoo, snacks, biscuits, juice, incense sticks, napkins, peanuts, tea and pickles, and other food items.

The Superintendent of Police, Ambala, said the police’s duty was not only to maintain law and order but also to understand the suffering of the weaker sections of society and provide them with all possible assistance. Such service campaigns launched by the police from time to time are a commendable effort to provide relief to those in need.
