The IG, Ambala range, Sibash Kabiraj, on Tuesday checked the case properties recovered in 212 cases under the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in Kurukshetra.

As per the information, the IG reached Police Lines, checked the Maal Khana and the case properties.

Kurukshetra Superintendent of Police Varun Singla said the drugs seized from drug peddlers were destroyed through a legal process so that the seized narcotics were not misused. The higher officials checked the seized drugs regularly. During the inspection, the IG checked the drugs, including smack, charas, ganja, heroin, poppy husk, intoxicating medicines and sulfa, seized in 212 cases in the district. All narcotics were kept sealed and would be destroyed soon after getting orders from the higher authorities.
