Amit Shah to attend Rao Narbir's rally in Badshahpur
In what comes as a clear hint towards Rao Narbir’s strengthened position in the BJP, Home Minister Amit Shah will be attending his campaign rally in Badshahpur. Narbir, who filed his nominations in rather subdued and simple way, said he would show his strength at his rally.
“I kept nominations a normal affair as it was a weekday and I didn’t want to cause any traffic crisis or disturbance. I am getting an overwhelming response from the people and my rally in Badshahpur will be the biggest in the state. Amit Shah will be present there,” said Narbir.
Narbir has emerged stronger than ever in this election season. Denied a ticket for a second term in 2019, this former state minister and BJP MLA announced his candidature for Badshahpur in the Lok Sabha elections only. He went on to say that only he could make the BJP win in the biggest Assembly segment of the state.
When his candidature was at stake owing to opposition from both Rao Inderjit and Khattar camps, he threatened to switch the party. Narbir declared his candidature even before the declaration of lists by posting a picture with Amit Shah. The announcement has left no doubts that Narbir has managed to win the favour of the Home Minister and he is ready for a bigger role in the party.
Sources reveal that Narbir is staking a claim on the post of Haryana’s Deputy Chief Minister if the BJP is voted to power.
“It’s one step at a time for me. My job is to win the election for the party and will then take whatever responsibility is given to me,” said Narbir.
