In Sonepat, former minister Kavita Jain held a meeting with her supporters after the party fielded Mayor Nikhil Madaan from the constituency. Breaking down, she said to strengthen the organisation, she even ignored her family. “If the party didn’t have to offer me a ticket, it should have informed me in advance. I would have not made preparations to contest,” she said, adding that she would not a take decision until September 8 and that the party must reconsider its decision.

At Israna, enraged over the denial of ticket, BJP district president of the women’s cell and former zila parishad chairperson resigned from the party. The party has declared the candidature of former minister and Rajya Sabha member Krishan Lal Panwar from Israna (reserved) constituency. Ashu Shera submitted her resignation to BJP district president Dushyant Bhatt at his office.

At Samalkha, Shashikant Kaushik met his supporters and decided that a meeting would be held on Sunday, and he would go along with whatever decision was taken by them.
