Anil Vij suspends Chief Engineer
The Chief Engineer of the Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL), Hisar, Anil Kumar, has been suspended with immediate effect on the recommendation of state Energy Minister Anil Vij. His headquarters during the suspension has been fixed at Panchkula.
Vij said a report was received regarding a fire incident at the 33 kV GIS at the 220 kV substation in Sector-107, Gurugram, on February 9. The incident had disrupted the power supply to around 22 societies and other areas in Gurugram.
Kumar had failed to inform his higher authorities about the fire. The minister took strict view of the situation and recommended his immediate suspension.
