Health Minister Arti Singh Rao has announced that Haryana will be made leprosy-free. To achieve this, an awareness campaign has been launched, which will run till February 13. She said people suffering from leprosy should be given free treatment.

A programme was also held at Kharak Mangoli village in Panchkula district to mark Leprosy Awareness Day. During the event, three leprosy patients from the village were honoured. Additionally, attendees took an oath to refrain from discrimination against individuals affected by leprosy.
